She has committed her life to the service of others, evidenced via her role working with Immigrants and Refugees, and as a Manager/Employment Counsellor for 23 years.

She has herself navigated that same terrain living in Canada for the past 45 years. She also served as a Manuscript Editor with the Pacific Forestry Centre and was Secretary to the Director with the Ministry of Transportation and Highways.
In addition, Kamal has a vast knowledge of the taxation world and has committed 25 plus years to provide tax support and tax returns. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to the values of supporting women through their unique and respective struggles as newcomers. She is truly multifaceted in her experiences and is always of service.
Ever young at heart, in her spare time, Kamal contributes to Victoria’s India Canada Cultural Association, serving as Secretary for many years and choreographed a women’s Bhangra performance for Victoria’s 1994 Commonwealth Games! She loves spending time with her family and her most beloved grandchildren. Kamal is looking forward to working with women to uplift and empower each other.
